It started with sports during and after school (I was never very good but I loved to play) and it progressed into biking during my high school years. I ran track in eighth grade, but I stopped running (for fun) until Junior year in High School when I ran both track and cross country (still not very good, but it was fun...biggest goal was breaking 6 minute mile and not getting lapped, which I accomplished Senior year). I haven't run for a school since I graduated high school, but I generally compete in about 6-8 races each year. While I'm generally no where near the top time, I've recently become more serious about my training (mostly because of the Eugene Marathon) and I'm looking to be more competitive over the next few years. I'm probably in thee best shape of my life right now, at least as much as I was two years ago, when I was riding my bike about 100 miles a week. Why? Because of my own stupidity coupled with fate, a red light and a moving truck (that's why I'm going to SSU and not somewhere else; not that I haven't had a good time at Sonoma). Anyway, just completed my first marathon and now I'm looking forward to doing a lot more. Next things on the old checklist are an ultramarathon and a triathlon. Peace- Greg Wall - 0 followers
